My name is Jim Walsh, I’m 31 and and I’m an IT Professional living in Columbus Ohio. I have been doing some form of web design since 1997. I attended college at Malone University in Canton Ohio. While there I was the place kicker on the football team and studied Computer Science.
Post College I’ve worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber at their World Headquarters in Akron Ohio, and Eaton Manufacturing at their World Headquarters in Eastlake Ohio. I moved to Columbus to work for BMW Financial Services. My role at each of these places has changed slightly over time but it has always been in the same area of expertise. All of my roles have been based in IT Infrastructure support. Currently I am working for JPMorgan Chase and managing their global VMware environment.
My sysadmin background comes in handy when setting up webserver environments for my design work. I have always been very involved and interested in the web community and development circles to varying degrees.
I wanted to start this blog to help out those of you that are just starting out as well as bringing some other knowledge to those of you that have been around the block a few times. Hopefully I am able to bring enough things to the table for both of you.
Outside of the technology world I also enjoy running, playing soccer and following as much sports as someone can.
